Särä is a delicious lamb dish cooked in a wood-fired baking oven following a thousand-year old tradition. Slow baking guarantees a delicious taste experience. In a genuine Lemi way, Särä is enjoyed slowly, and you can have as many servings as you like.
Restaurant Säräpirtti Kippurasarvi is located in Lemi, half an hour’s drive from Lappeenranta, and hosted now by the second generation of the Hietaranta Family. Restaurant Säräpirtti Kippurasarvi is the only restaurant in Finland specialising in a single dish.
Welcome to our restaurant – on your own, with a friend or with the whole team!
It takes at least nine hours to prepare Särä. If you would like to enjoy Särä during the standard serving times, we kindly ask you to reserve your table in advance. For groups of more than ten persons, we can also prepare Särä by arrangement.
